Being a nerd isn't supposed to be fun, but Harvard junior Jeremy Kahn may change that. He has founded a campus group called SONG (Society of Nerds and Geeks) and has preached the gospel of nerdiness in such forums as CBS This Morning and the Wall Street Journal. Who might be a patron saint for SONG? Perhaps Mikhail Gorbachev, who, Kahn says, is both a nerd (studious) and a geek (nonconformist). Math major Kahn's "classwork is faltering" because of SONG. Is he in danger of becoming that nemesis of all nerds, a BMOC?
